The last game of the 2016
regular season brought 4-3
Geneseo to Hartwood Park.
Geneseo started the game with
the ball and made it clear they
came to play. It took them only
four plays including a 48 yard
touchdown run to take an early
lead. Geneseo 6 – LeRoy 0.
LeRoy’s offense featuring
their four headed monster of a
backfield of Jude Sherman, Luke
Lathan, Adam Woodworth and

on a well executed counter

zone again on their second

attempt to the 8 yard line, Jake
Higgins would burst through for
the 2 point conversion making
the score LeRoy 16 – Geneseo 6.
Geneseo looked poised to
strike back and nar row the
lead when their next possession
started with a 57 yard run down
to LeRoy’s 8 yard line. However,
the Junior Knights’ defense “dug
in” with the help of Dawson
“WoJo” Wojtaszczyk, Jude
Sherman, Luke Lathan, Aaric
Luce and Liam Grayson who all
made plays resulting in negative
3 yards.
LeRoy’s third and f inal
possession of the half started at
their own 11. A ten play drive
would ensue as LeRoy marched
the ball down the field. With
