Motors facedoff in thefirst round
of playoffs against the Monroe
County Scottsville South team
on Scottsville’s home ice. The
Ramparts startedout strongwith
2goalsnettedbyWillEschberger
of LeRoy in the first period. The
Scottsville team answered these
goals with one of their own in
thefirst periodandanother in the
2nd, but the Ramparts edged up
late in the2ndperiodwith agoal
scoredbyAddisonWarriner.The
Ramparts Defense held strong
for the rest of the game ending
in a 3-2 victory! This win led to
a round 2 playoff game Sunday
the21st inScottsvilleagainst top
seatedGeneseo!
TheRamparts Squirt A played
hard and strong throughout their
battle with top seat Geneseo in
round 2 of the Squirt playoffs
with a 1-1 score leading into
the 3rd period. However, by the
middleof the3rdperiodGeneseo
stacked their lineandBataviahad
nothing left to battle with, they
suffereda3-1defeatwhichended
their regular seasonplay.

cap off their 2015-2016 Youth
Hockey season!

Concrete PeeWeeA team faced
off against rivalRochesterYouth
Hockey Amerks on Saturday,
February20th inCanandaigua for
the first round of playoffs. After
a scoreless first period, Landin
Pizzi of Batavia started the 2nd
period with an unassisted goal
which was quickly answered by
a questionable Amerks goal to
tieup thegame, 1-1.Pizzi scored
again in the 2nd period, this
time assistedbyAdamRisewick
of LeRoy and Collin Crane of
Batavia. The third period began
withRamparts in the lead2-1and
a Rampart and an Amerk in the
penalty boxwith a 4 on 4match
upon the ice. Late in the 3rdpe-
riod Pizzi netted his 3rd goal of
the game and a playoff hat-trick,
leading to aBatavia 3-1win!

Concrete Pee Wee A team re-
turned toCanandaiguaonSunday
for a 2nd round playoff game
against thePerintonBlades.Col-
linCrane started out with a goal
early in the1st periodunassisted
followed by another unassisted
goalbyLeRoys’AdamRisewick.
The rest of the1st period and the
entire2ndperiodwent scoreless.
Perinton netted 2 goals in the
3rd period and the battle ended
in a 2-2 tie, leading to a best out
of 5 shoot-out. The Pee Wee A
teamwasnot able toget thepuck
around the Perinton goalie and
the Ramparts suffered a devas-
tating loss after 4 rounds of the
shootout, ending their regular
season play.

A Ramparts have a non-league
“scrimmage” on Sunday, the
28th in Buffalo followed by a
tournament in Cheektowaga the
weekend of March 13th to cap
off their season.
