The weather outside may be cold and snowy, but the Nursery
children at Love Bugs Preschool were not going to let that deter
them from having a picnic. After talking about all the winter
weather they’ve had this year and the warm season of spring
being right around the corner, they decided to have an indoor
picnic together. What fun!

02/19/2014 - Shawn Powers, a
level 2 Registered Sex Offend-
er now residing in Wyoming
County, was arrested today by
the LeRoy Police Department
and charged with one count of
Failing to Register a Change of
Address as required by the New
York State Corrections Law per-
taining to the Sex Offender Reg-
istry.
Powers, age 48 moved from
an address in the Village of Le-
Roy about January 25, 2014 and
failed to register his address change with the New York State Divi-
sion of Criminal Justice Services Sex Offender Registry within the
required 10 day limit.
Powers was charged with a class D-Felony, a level mandated as
he has a prior conviction for a similar violation of the change of
address laws.
Powers was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Welsh of the
LeRoy Town Court and committed to the Genesee County Jail in
lieu of $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
02/14/2014- Bishop Williams, age 20, from Lake St., LeRoy, was
arrested by deputies for Petit Larceny after allegedly shoplifting at
Walmart on Feb. 14th. Mr. Williams allegedly fled the scene on foot
and was located the next day by the LeRoy Police Dept. at a Bacon
St. address. Batavia PD also assisted in the investigation.
Williams was arraigned in Batavia Town Court.
