Hopefullywinter has past, but
we are not out of thewoods yet.
Themildwinter has had its ben-
efits, less salt, less overtime and
lesscoldpatch.Hopefullywecan
use these resources to do some
preventativemaintenanceonour
streets. It hasbeenour goal todo
pot holefilling, andoil and stone
process in a four year rotation
to keep away from having to do
major street overhauls which
takes about 10 years to payoff
that project.
We currently are out to bid to
fixanotherportionofMainStreet;
we will begin in the spring. We
also receivedagrant fromSenator
Ranzenhofer’s office, it is sub-
stantial, andwillgiveusachance
to domorework onMainStreet.
The Board will begin to work
on the budget for the upcoming
fiscal year; we are looking into
ways to keep the tax rate flat
again this year. Over the past
4 years, the tax rate has stayed
completely flat. While this is
not an easy chore to do without
cutting programs and services, I
feel strongly it is imperative that
our rate does not goup.
On Tuesday, March 15th the
Villagewill hold its’ election for
Mayorand twoTrusteepositions.
Thiswillbe thefirst time ina long
timewewill have paper ballots.
