It was an overcast day in Le-
Roy for ourAnnualGolfOuting.
Before we hit the greens, we
sat down for lunch to have our
weeklymeeting. GaryChurchill
from theRotaryClubofBatavia
was our only guest today.
Announcements included:
REAL(RotaryExcitedAboutLit-
erature) our free book giveaway,
will take place at The LeRoy
Farmer’s Market on June 21st.
Lynne Belluscio had an exciting
announcement regarding some
visitors coming toLeRoy onFri-
day,August8th.Wewillhave350
minicoopers,with700occupants,
traveling throughLeRoyandstop-
ping at The Jell-OMuseum. This
is part of their cross country trip
that starts inSanFrancisco.More
details to follow.
Jim Ellison reminded us that
our annual Installation Dinner
will be held on June 24th at The
Stafford Country Club. Mary
Young is coordinating a Rotary
Accessory order, please see her
for details. Sam Vagg gave an
updateonYouthPrograms&read
a touching letter received from a
pastMilneScholarship recipient.
Jim Ellison, Lynne Belluscio,
and Sam Vagg were all called
on for missed meetings. As the
Rotaryyearends,PresidentTracy
playedRotaryTrivia. BobJones,
Martha Bailey, Bob Sullivan,
David Frost, June Dusen, Carol
Wolfe, and Jim Ellison were all
unsuccessful, and had to pay
up. MaryMargaret Ripley, Bob
Carlsen and Mary Young were
successful, and President Tracy
had topayup.Aftermuchdiscus-
sion regardingLynneBelluscio’s
trivia answer, the group deter-
mined itwasa trickquestion, and
PresidentTracy&Lynnesplit the
fine. SamVaggwas calledon for
a recent vacation& new car, al-
though she presentedTracywith
a beautiful gift from her travels,
President Tracy was relentless,
andSam paid up too.
The Rotary Club of LeRoy
then inducted itsnewestmember,
Lauren Humphrey. Lauren has
been an instrumental member
in many community service
organizations in LeRoy, and has
recently joined the staff at Vil-
lage Fitness inLeRoy.Welcome
Lauren, we are honored to have
you join us!
Lastly, before we hit the golf
course, Randy Vink reviewed
some changes in the Rotary
Bylaws & Constitution. Thank
you to Randy & the rest of the
Bylaws Committee for keeping
everything up to date!
