12/12/2014 - A 49-year-old Batavia resident was charged with
DWI following a traffic stop onThursday, December 11th, 2014 at
about 7:43pm. KennethB. Sovocool ofLibertyStreetwas stopped
after he allegedly failed to signal for a turnoff ofMyrtleStreet onto
Clay Street. After a brief investigation, Sovocool was found to be
allegedly intoxicatedandwascharged. Inaddition to theDWIcharge,
Sovocool was also charged with DrivingWhile Intoxicated while
having a BAC of .08% or more, AggravatedUnlicensedOperation
1st, a Felony, Failure to signal a turn, Drivers view obstructed, and
Uninspectedmotor vehicle.
Assisting with the traffic stop were members from the Genesee
County Local Drug Task Force. Members of the Drug Task Force
alsochargedSovocoolwithUnlawful PossessionofMarijuanaafter
they allegedly located a quantity of marijuana inside the vehicle
Sovocoolwas operating.
Sovocool was arraigned in the Town of LeRoyCourt by theHon.
MichaelWelsh. Sovocoolwas remanded to theGeneseeCounty Jail
in lieu of $500.00 cash or $1,000.00 bond. Sovocool is to appear in
court onDecember 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
