LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - JANUARY 15, 2017

• LeRoy Little League is always looking for managers and coaches at all levels of play. Many different volunteer

opportunities exist within the organization. We are also looking for umpires to help, and training will be provided.

• Age determination date remains the same as 2016. In short, whatever a child’s age is on September 1st, 2017 is

considered their “league age.” If your child turns 4 years old by September 1st, 2017, they are able to play instruc-

tional baseball. Typically ages for T-shirt are 6-9, however some age overlap is present at multiple levels. Final

placement in divisions is subject to Board of Directors review and approval.

• More information about the different levels of play is available on our website.

• If your child will be 9 years old by September 1st, 2017, they are eligible to try out for Little League. More infor-

mation related to tryouts will be available at registration.

For players born on or before April 30, 2005:

The new age determination date of September 1st will be effective starting with the 2018 Little League Baseball

Season. For the 2017 season, these players will use the May 1st age determination date.

• If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact either Tim Spezzano

(259-7673) or Jeff Strollo (750-4049).
