Callboard - Volume XX • Issue 1 • Spring 2023 www.tanys.org Page 9 Bob Frame Honored Michael Frame, son of Bob Frame - past TANYS President, past Festival Technical Director, current roving Adjudicator and Board Member - needed an idea for a Christmas present for his father. He also wanted to give his dad additional recognition after Bob retired from Cayuga Community College after 42 years, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Michael put those two thoughts together and arranged for the College’s Black Box Theatre to be named in his honor. The official designation was revealed during a ceremony on March 18. Bob was surprisingly speechless as he received this tribute during the ribbon cutting. Of course he found his voice when he addressed the crowd from the stage prior to the Harlequin show he directed that was performing that evening. Although he has retired from full-time service to the College, Bob continues to direct the shows for Harlequin Productions and teach theatre courses.
