Renew your membership for 2023 A Note from the Festival Chair TANYS is thrilled to be back for the first 3-day Festival since 2019. The Festival committee and I are working feverishly to prepare for this occasion to take place November 18-20, 2022 at Rome Community Theater in Rome, NY. We are hopeful that all of you are ready to come back and reunite with old friends. If you have not been to Festival in a while, plan to come back and see what the Romans have in store before the Festival moves to a new location in 2023. We are planning “The TANYS Family Reunion,” a theme adapted from the Addams Family. This Callboard provides a summary of the planned activities and I am sure there probably are a few that I missed. The schedule in this newsletter gives you an idea when registration opens and when the Festival begins, but other times are not determined until performing companies accept their invitations from the TANYS adjudicators on October 30. The Festival committee will then finalize the Festival schedule that day or the next. The final schedule will be announced on the TANYS website as soon as possible after all have been accepted. At our Reunion, we'll have lunches, dinner and an afterglow with an emphasis on the Italian culture of Rome. The preliminary schedule includes the names of the facilities and we'll provide a map to help guide you around town. We once again have T-shirts available to pre-order by November 11. See page 9 of this Callboard for the order form, pricing structure and the colors selected by the Festival committee. The maroon shirt will only be available in advance. The black shirt will be made on the spot at Festival if you did not order in advance. The advantage of ordering in advance is that it will be cheaper, and guarantees your size will be available since Festival supplies will be limited. The Festival registration form is on page 11, and you can also register online. We urge you to register before October 30, because on that date all early registrants will be entered into a raffle for a free Superpass to Festival 2023. Register early at the Hampton Inn as well to avoid an increase in the special TANYS room rate. As stated in the article, to get the special TANYS rate, you must call (the rate is not available online) and let them know you'll be attending the TANYS Festival. Read this newsletter from cover to cover to appreciate all that is happening. We have information on the BMI Supply Design Competition, COVID protocol, and many of the fun activities being planned. We in Rome promise to provide you a Festival worth the investment of a Superpass! If you have any special dietary needs for the meals provided, please contact the Festival Registrar as instructed in this newsletter. It's been three years since the last 3-day Festival in Rome.
