The meeting started at 12:15. Following the Pledge, the Four Way Test. Randy Introduced the Guest Speaker Mike McMullen (Retired) from Customs & Border Patrol. Announcements The Appliance Raffle will be held on October 24th at the Pavilion Fire Department. The LeRoy Rotary Community Kitchen is looking for volunteers. The kitchen hosts meals every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. We will be hosting a Holiday Light Contest more information to come within the next month. Jerry McCoullough was fined for his Wedding Anniversary and the White Suit he wore, a picture was shown of him on his wedding day. Mike Tucci was fined for playing golf with his wife last weekend. Following the Fines Mike McMullen spoke to us. Mike who recently moved back to LeRoy area after retiring from the Customs and Border Patrol 5 years ago. He started his career in Toronto and was transferred to Washington D.C., then to Miami, and ended up in the Lake Champlain Area. Mike spoke to us about the challenges of Customs and what they encounter when people enter the United States. While working on the Canadian Border, Customs catches many Marijuana smugglers coming from Montreal. He also spoke to us about the technology advancements, such as X-Rays, and K-9's that have helped keep our country safe. The Meeting ended at 1 PM.
