LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - FEBRUARY 2, 2020 LeRotary Notes The Rotary Club of LeRoy met at St. Ann’s at the Greens for their weekly luncheon meeting on January 22nd. Rotarian Mike Tucci led the group in the pledge, Bob Carlsen gave his as always inspirational invocation minus the “go bills”, and the entire club recited the four way test. The Club has a busy winter and spring therefore the announcements were plentiful. Mike Tucci gave us an update on the Big Game Raffle which is taking place on February 1st. Tickets are available from any Rotarian. President Mary Young announced the dates for several spring events. The Rotary Club of LeRoy has taken on sponsorship of the annual Easter Egg Hunt which will take place on April 11th. We will be sponsoring a Meat Raffle at the Legion on April 25th. Based on last years experience it is safe to say it will be a great event! The annual Graze to Raise, our outstanding annual fund raiser for the Milne Scholarship, is May 15th. And as always the LeRoy Rotary Community Kitchen continues to serve the community every 2nd and 4th Tuesday. President Mary reviewed missed meetings and weekly fines. A fine was levied against Jim Bonacquisti for a lovingly humorous story about is Dad. Martha Bailey was fined for the Rotary window and Christine Gephart was levied a fine for her senior sons endeavors. Phil Plossl was fined for having his picture taken with Karl Maacklenberg. Lynne Belluscio brought killer eggnog to the Christmas party costing her $5.00. Our guest speakers were two Rotarians, Lynne Belluscio and Jason Karsher who presented riveting birthday talks!
