Mayor's Corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers In case you were wondering why the creek has been lowered, it is to fix the dam gates. This will be a successful project. Water will be running over the dam before the New Years’ Eve fireworks. Our DPW has made great progress in fighting the elements to make timelines for fall and early winter. Leaf season was especially difficult due to snowy conditions and the leaves not falling. This meant we had to have one truck ready to plow and another to pick up leaves. The Town was a great help with Eric Stauffer sending personnel to help. This is the type of cooperation that gets real results and we’d like to thank the Town and Eric for their help. The Christmas decorations are up, the tree looks beautiful, once again thanks to Andrew and Carrie Lathan. The Holiday season is very beautiful in our humble village, try to get out and support our local businesses. A dollar spent in our community will be spent seven more times. Weather permitting, we plan on having ice skating again this year, we will keep you posted on the procedure, as we get closer.
