Predeceased by her husband, Norman and son, Paul Lathan. She is survived by her children, Christine (Robert Corsetti) Rodwell, Patricia (Matthew) Cantiello, Mary (James Hinkley) Goldstin, Martin (Sheila) Lathan, Andrew (Joy) Lathan; grandchildren, Daniel Gall, Steven Goldstin, Michelle (Timothy) Sisson, Abigail and McKenna Lathan; sister, Ruth Tracy; nieces and nephews. Dolores was a member of the Mumford Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies of St. Patrick in Mumford. Friends may call Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4-7PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 10AM at St. Martin DePorres Parrish St. Columba Church, North St., Caledonia. Interment St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mumford Fire Dept., P.O. Box 477, Mumford, NY 14511. LeRotary Notes There was an autumn chill in the air as we gathered for our weekly meeting at The Greens of LeRoy. Gary Churchill and Donna Saskowski joined us from the Batavia Rotary club. Dr. Sam Leadley also joined us, and he was our program for the day. Announcements included: Next LeRoy Rotary Community Kitchen: 11/13 Rotary Leadership Institute: 12/1 Rotary Holiday Party: 11/29 District Grants Training: 11/4 We are looking for a Rotarian to chair our Salvation Army Bell Ringing this year. Please see President Jim for details. Jerry McCullough, Amber Dobson, Erik Fix, Steve Falitico, Marcia McKenzie, June Dusen, Tim Moag, David Grayson, and Mary Young were all called for missed meetings. Ben Deragon was given an opportunity to “tell a story”, or play trivia, and he paid up for a great story. Andy Rich was fined for a recent cameo in a Netflix series. Steven Falitico was called on and congratulated for his recent wedding, and also paid up some “happy dollars”. Marcia McKenzie and Mary Young were fined for their family’s successes in running. Merritt Holly paid up for a recent recognition of a LCSD Teacher. Jason Karcher, one of our newest Rotarians briefly told us some fun facts about himself. Jason was a childhood model, and also made a guest appearance on the hit television show “Reading Rainbow” as a child. Jason recently purchased a home in LeRoy, is employed byApple ®, and is a new advisor for our EarlyAct Program at WSS. We all welcome Jason to the club! Dr. Sam Leadley is a welcomed return speaker. Dr. Leadley completed B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Cornell University in 1957, 1964 and 1967, respectively. After working at Penn State University, he began specializing in calf and heifer management in 1988. As the vet clinic's calf consultant, Dr. Sam writes a monthly calf management newsletter, writes a blog: "Calves with Sam", and is the author of the Calf Facts resource library in this website. He also lectures and teaches classes in North America and Europe. Sam lives in Pavilion with his wife, Esther. They have four grown sons and eleven grandchildren scattered all over the world. Dr. Leadley owns and practices Attic Veterinary Associates. Dr. Leadley gave us a wonderful presentation on precision technology in agriculture, and how it continues to help farming communities all over the world run more efficiently.
