LeRoy Flag Football Submitted by: Joseph Bogue On a blustery day the LeRoy Knights flag teams played their last game of the season vs their biggest rivals from Caledonia. Early on the knights defense would show up in a big way with Thomas Englerth and Jace Beauchamp grabbing flags behind the line then it was Blake Fetzer and Carter Mcclurg ending the drive for Caledonia. LeRoy would take over on offense with big runs by Preston Heschke Camden Weber and Blake fetzer before Sammy Bogue took a 4th down hand off the distance for a Knights touchdown ! On Caledonias next drive they would be met by Anthony Price Brody Wilson Wyatt Whipple. And Jaiden Biletskiy 4 plays later they turned the ball over on downs.LeRoy would start with a sweep right to Carter Mcclurg behind blocks by Anthony Price and Wyatt Whipple then it was Thomas Englerth starting right then reversing and gaining yards to the left following Brody wilson and Jaiden Biletskiy down the field Blake Fetzer would take the next Jace Beauchamp hand off to the 5 yard line and 3 plays later Camden Weber would punch it in for another Knights Touchdown ! Preston Heschke and Sammy Bogue would get the next 2 flags and send the game to half time. The 2nd half LeRoy started with the ball and made it count Brody wilson at qb would hand off to Anthony price to start things then it was Blake Fetzer taking a jet sweep down the sidelines for another Knights touchdown ! Now on defense Jace Beauchamp and Thomas Englerth would continue their season of dominant defense grabbing quick flags then Preston Heschke and Jaiden Biletskiy grabbed a pair on 3rd and 4th down and the Knights offense took over where Camden Weber would make a great 1st down run setting up Sammy Bogue to take a handoff and follow Wyatt Whipple and Carter Mcclurgs amazing blocks down the sideline for another Knights touchdown !It was the final game for the Red Team and they wanted to show everything they learned to their adoring fans. Defense started the game with a quick four and out Weston Humphrey, Gunner Humphrey, Ben Biracree and Eli Fortuna all grabbed flags. LeRoy took the ball and Andrew Sibley bounced to the right side for a great run. Gunner Humphrey then ran shaking and baking all the way to the endzone for the knights first touchdown. The defense again started out strong with stops by Ryker Vangalio and Lorilye Beardsley before cal-mum broke through for a td. On the next drive Blake Biracree ran for a first down. Maddox Finnin then gained yardage on a center sneak and Weston Humphrey scores the touchdown on a side line run sneaking past multiple defenders. Eli Fortuna caught fire on defense grabbing three flag in a rowdaring the runners to come to his side. Blake Biracree grabbed another putting LeRoy on offense. Lorilye Beardsley has a swift sideline run up the left side for another first down and Cameron Montesano ran a perfect jet sweep to find the endzone for a touchdown!!! the second half Eli Fortuna ran for a First down around a tremendous block by Nathan Macintyre , a reverse to Ryker Vangalio gave him enough room to find the end zone for yet another LeRoy Touchdown. The knights remained defensive minded. Noah Neth, Maddox Finnin, Cameron Montesano and Weston Humphrey all grabbed flags to stop the raiders. Andrew Sibley, Ben Biracree , Blake Biracree and Lorilye Beardsley all had great runs bringing Leroy all the way down field but Cal-Mum defense prevented the td. The unstoppable knights d continued to roll Eli Fortuna Ryker Vangalio Noah Neth and Gunner Humphrey all grabbed flags. On The Red Teams final drive Andrew Sibley made a great fake before handing the ball off to Gunner Humphrey who ran all the way down for a touchdown just as time was expiring.
