WBTAi.com or on your mobile device ap by Greg “Porp” Rogers An informational meeting and a straw vote were held on the ambulance service for the Village and Town of LeRoy. The next step is to have a public hearing on the formation of a tax district for ambulance service. This meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Tuesday October 23rd at 7:00 pm. Both boards will be present to hear your concerns and ideas, your input will be respected and evaluated. Leaf season is here again, keep the leaves on the terraces and out of the road. Leaves in the road pose a problem for the storm sewer system, clogging drains and pipes. The DPW will be around daily from now until December 1, after that we ask you bag what leaves are left. Some of the topics to come up soon at our meetings are: possibly extending night time parking, dam gates, ice skating, and a LED streetlight project for the entire village, as well as new poles for Main Street. Meetings are on the first Monday of the month for a workshop as needed and third Wednesday at the Village Hall starting at 7:00. Sunshine Nursery School went on an adventure to Whittier Fruit Farm. They took a fun and exciting wagon ride into the apple orchard and picked apples.
