The Northwoods held a ceremonial flag burning on Sunday, to properly dispose of used and worn flags and to show proper respect for both our country, our veterans, and flag that has been a symbol of freedom and the values held dear by this country. Thank You to all who participated. Grant Hertzler received his Eagle Scout award on Sunday as well. Grant’s Eagle Scout Project was the work he put into the corner of Rt. 5 & 19. A project to make his community better. Just one of the values that the Boy Scouts instill in its’ young people. Any parent worried about raising a child in these hard times should consider signing them up for scouting, it’s a great place to be. Street work continues as many catch basins have been done. Lincoln Avenue has been ground down and awaiting top layer. Our dam project is moving forward, we expect to be doing that in November. Recently the village looked into resurrecting the creek bank promenade project from years ago. With only $500,000 available in grant money, and a projected cost of 1.9 million, we decided to pump the breaks and reevaluate our wants and needs. “Never trust a computer you can’t throw out the window.” Steve Wozniak T REAT Y OUR W INDOWS Draperies Cushions Blinds Shutters Shades Pillows Free Estimates LeRoy New York, 14482 585-768-2217 West Palm Beach Florida, 33417 585-749-6254 treatyourwindows@yahoo.com Bill & Donna Westacott
