LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - MARCH 11, 2018 Please join us on March 16th at the Le Roy Junior/Senior High School for the 2018 LeRoy Knights Alumni Basketball Game The women will play at 6pm, with the men’s game following at around 7:30pm. Even year graduation years will face odd graduation years. All are welcome! Admission fee is $2.00 per person, and all the proceeds from this game will go to Rotary Interact’s Hometown Heroes Project, an initiative to place banners on Main Street of all of our local active duty military. There will also be concessions, a basket raffle, 50/50, and halftime contests! Because of your generosity, we are currently at $904.00 of our $3143.00 goal. Hometown Heroes Project What is Interact? This is a club open to all students that reside in the LeRoy Central School District. This is a service club that identifies needs in the community, and brainstorms how to meet them. Our main goals are: -Improve the quality of our community -Enhance problem solving skill sets -Connect students with community leaders -Develop leadership skills -Make international connections Our Main Community Service Project for 2018: Homet wn Heroes Project The students expressed a de ire to hang banners of appreciati n for all of our local residents who are currently serving in the military. The Village Board approved this project on Febraury 5 th , and we are now seeking applications for local active duty military . Please see application and requirements on the next page. How to Support this Project: We currently have raised $404. of our $3143.00 goal. 1. Our main fundraiser is the: LeRoy Knights Alumni Basketball Game on March 16 th at LeRoy Jr./Sr. High School. Our women’s game will be at 6pm, and our men’s game will be at 7:30pm. Rosters will be advertised in the coming weeks in the LeRoy Pennysaver, and on the Rotary Club of LeRoy NY Facebook page. 2.
