Our high school se- niors today were Taylor Sher- man and Nathan McAvoy. Vis- iting guests in attendance were Andrew Rich, Steven Falitico and Batavia Rotarian Gary Churchill. Announcements included Desserts in the Stacks scheduled for this Friday at the library, Rotary game night taking place on Saturday, 2/17 at the Greens, and an Interact basketball fund- raiser at the high school on March 16th. Several had missed meet- ings which included Anil Sawh- ney, Larry Boylan, Mike Tuc- ci, Marcia McKenzie, Lauren Humphrey and Ben Derragon. Some had makeups but most paid with a green card. Fining was light today and began with Jim Ellison for passing out nu- merous business cards while helping at the Big Game Raffle. Another fine was accessed to Mike Tucci for his lucky ticket drawn and winning the televi- sion. And finally Larry Boylan paid dearly for his picture. Our program was a birthday talk giv- en by Mike Tucci. As a life-long LeRoyan, Mike grew up in the village. He has two younger sisters and as a boy delivered The Daily News for about 5 years to his area neighborhood. In school, he played baseball and football. As a running back for the LeRoy Knights, Mike played against his Cal-Mum ri- vals. After school, Mike attend- ed Alfred State, then transferred to SUNY Geneseo. Starting at Tompkins Insurance in 2003, Mike's office began in the Bat- avia branch until 3 months ago when he transferred to the Le- Roy office. Recently, Mike gave his insurance recommendation on the newly formed Rotary community kitchen. Mike, still living locally along with his wife and two young daughters is a fan of the New York Yankees and other sports teams.
