As Mother Nature is the key to this program, everything was ready to go, when she decided to hit us with the January thaw, but that’s OK. In the event that the condition is favorable for ice skating, in the future, we will post a sign to let people know when a supervisor will be on duty, this will only be on weekends. It was great to see people out having fun on the ice the week before, we don’t want to discourage that in any way, but please use good judgement. On February 5th at 7:00 pm the Village Board will hold a public hearing on the Vacant Building Registry for the Village. This is open to the public. We have plans to complete the brick work in the alley way on the north side of Main Street. This project has been on the plate for over a decade. It was one of those items it was never a good time to do it. When completed we will look into better lighting to try to make better use of the parking lot off of Bacon Street.
