Joy • Call 768-8497 Flag football vs. Warsaw The Red and Black Knights finished off their season at Home against Warsaw on a beautiful, sunkissed Sunday. The Knights would take the field after an intense PeeWee matchup. The Black defense would feed off the early intensity of the pre- viously played game. Every player on the defense would make mul- tiple flag grabs. The Warsaw backs would have to use the entire field to get anything moving. Roland Goodenough, Benjamin Singleton, Weston Humphrey and Benito Bautista locked down the right side of the defense. Drew Beachel, Gunner Humphrey, Xander Robbins and Jaxon Cook were fierce on the defensive left. The “mini mytes” Andrew Sibley and Preston Heschke played larger than life in the defensive middle. The Knights used a little trickery on offense where Benito Bau- tista took the hand off and in turn handed the ball to Drew Beachel on a reverse for a Knights touchdown! The Red defense kept up the same intensity of the day as they locked horns with Warsaw. Yards were hard to come by as Cam- eron Montesano and Robert Dunn led the charge from the edges. Landon Kaczanowski, Thomas Englerth and Eli Fortuna controlled the line of scrimmage. Linebackers, Luke Offen, Dominic Redmon and Sammy Bogue attacked the runners, holding the Tigers offense in check. The Knights fought hard to keep the Tigers out of the endzone. Montesano got the run game going for the Knights. Offen, En- glerth and Fortuna ran tough all day. The Knights chewed up yard- age with runs by Kaczanowski and Redmon. Englerth had a big run down the right side for a first down. Bogue and Dunn would hook up on multiple passes as they continued the QB/WR switch. The Knights line would hold tough, keeping the Tigers back long enough for Bogue to hit Redmon on a long pass for a Knights touchdown! The Red and Black Knights formed an unbreakable brotherhood during a memorable season, where they received multiple compli- ments about their blocking and strong defensive play from the big- ger, more experienced teams they played all season. The Knights head into the off-season with dreams of furthering their careers on Jr's, Peewees, or returning for a second season to dominate the flag division! Go Red and Black! NEW TIME
