A game that would feature the Red and Black playing a half a piece. The Red Knights would have a strong defensive showing. Thom- as Englerth and Eli Fortuna would be thorns in Avon’s side all day, making plays behind the line. Landon Kaczanowski and Cameron Montesano were all over the field making the Avon backs reverse field into the waiting arms of Corey Brown. The defensive back field of Dominic Redmon, Luke Offen, Robert Dunn, and Sammy Bogue would shut down the Avon pass attack as Avon would not complete a pass across the line of scrimmage. The Red offense would gain some nice yards on sweeps to Red- mon and Offen. Montesano would have nice gains behind the stud line of Brown, Englerth, Fortuna, and Kaczanowski. Bogue and Dunn would play tag team at quarterback to make some nice throws to move the Knights down the field. The Black Knights would have an equally strong defensive show- ing. Preston Heschke, Andrew Sibley, and Xander Robbins we’re in the Avon backfield more than the Avon backs. The brothers Humphrey, Gunner and Weston criss crossed the field, forcing the Avon backs to reverse field, only to find Benito Bautista and Ben- jamin Singleton waiting. Roland Goodenough, Drew Beachel, and Jaxon Cook shut down the pass game and outside runs. Heschke would start out the Knights impressive run game with a gut busting run up the middle. Bautista and Beachel would mim- ic his intensity with runs to the outside. Goodenough using ankle breaking cuts busts through the defense for a Knights touchdown! With the line of Robbins, Sibley, Singleton, and Humphrey’s and the backs a blur, the defense couldn’t find a flag to grab. The de- fense now grabbing jersey and anything they could, would not stop Gunner Humphrey and Singleton as they ran over defenders! Cook and his number one, Beachel, would hook up for nice gains on the day. The Knights travel to GVB in Letchworth Sunday in an early matchup. Hoping to set the tone for Peewees, Jr’s, and Srs. Go Red and Black!
