Today’s announcements were
many.We’vebeen lucky tohave
two newmembers (RobMurray
and Phil Weise) join our Club
this year and several others have

their learning experiences at the
Rotary Leadership Institute this
pastSaturdayandJimpaidup for
graduating.
KimCox introduced BethRuss
and Kelly Betters who were on
hand to tell us about Ties. To-
gether Including Every Student
(TIES)promotes theparticipation
ofstudentsandyoungadultswith
developmental disabilities in ex-
tracurricular and community ac-
tivitiesbycreatingeffective, nat-
ural support provided by trained
student volunteers. The activity
canbeanyorganized recreational
or extracurricular school activity
in which students typically take
part. TIES arranges a trained
student volunteer for each par-
ticipant to facilitate a successful
experience forallmembersof the
group. TIES also sponsors some
group recreationalactivities, such
as drumming circles, cooking
classes and outrigger canoeing.
