Sectional
Championships

NOV. 20, 2000 - The Sectional Championships were held November 4th at Marcus Whitman High School. The girls' cross country team finished 9th overall. Naomi Miller led the girls' team. The boys' team finished 10th. Brett Smith led the team and tied the record for the Marcus Whitman course.
Coach Laitenberger said, "Everyone ran a good race. It was a cold day and they ran against a field of tough runners."
Brett, Jordan, Ben, Erik, Calvin, Beth, Naomi, Crystal and Nicole qualifed for the Northeast Regional Championships in New York City on November 25th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving).
