President Jim Ellison brought the meeting to order, and the club introduced the guests. Today’s presenter from the UMMC in Batavia, Dr. Andrea Zacchiatti. Also, Lori Aratari was visiting from the Rotary Club of Batavia President Jim announced upcoming service opportunities for the club. The club will be cleaning up their storage area on Saturday, October 13th, see Tony Gugino for details. Marcia McKenzie is heading up a game night on the 13th also to be held at the Greens of LeRoy. The Rotary Community Kitchen will be serving October 9th. Bob Bennett has a reminder that the Appliance Raffle is steadily approaching, October 28th. The missed meetings were recognized by President Jim: Larry Boylan (Rule of 85), Lauren Humphrey, Andy Rich, Mike Tucci, Eric Fix, Scott McCumiskey, Randy Vink and Mary Young, all had make-ups. The fining session began with President Jim asking Nan Chiulli about a “vintage photo” with the old hair. Lauren Humphrey was fined for “supporting” GoArt this summer. Andy Rich was fine for “Always being prepared” for snow in July. Mike Tucci was fined for his Halloween costume from years past. Randy Vink called on the services of a past president Bob Bennett for the improper Rotary motto displayed on the totem. Today’s program was given by Dr. Andrea Zacchiatti a surgeon with United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He gave an interesting overview of the Hospital’s many services and capabilities. He reviewed the hospitals 44,000 square foot renovation and some of the newly acquired equipment.
