We are beginning with new traditions and a new Christmas tree, thanks to the quick action by the business council. The addition of horse drawn carriage rides and a poker run should bring out the holiday spirit. Sweet Betty’s will be back open to help us celebrate, as I’m sure by now we all miss it. Last weekwe celebratedThanksgiving, and every year I give thanks to the people who really run this village. Clerk treasure Eileen Carmel has done a wonderful job filling the shoes left by Sharon Jeary, who hasn’t stopped lending a hand around 3 West Main. Katy Eick has been a great addition, in the sewer department and police dept. secretary. The three department heads make it so easy to be the mayor of this community, with their professionalism, knowledge, dedication and friendship. We are truly blessed. While these department heads all do a great job, no coach wins without great players and we have Hall of Famers at every position. On behalf of the board and myself these people have our deepest gratitude. Please let the spirit of the holiday season put the joy in your hearts and appreciations for all we have and quite frankly some of the things we don’t. We are all blessed to call LeRoy our home. Parking on the streets over night will now begin to be enforced, however the board will be looking to permanently change it to December 1 next year with a common-sense clause. Decembers monthly board meeting will be 7:00 on December 14th. Get out and participate in Winterfest, it promises to be a great one. Thanks to all the folks who worked hard to pull this all together.
