The 2023 Town Budget is complete and filed with the State Comptroller. We are pleased to announce that after a difficult budget process there will be NO increase in the tax rate for 2023. The rate will be $1.09 per $1000.00 of assessed value. Thank you to everyone in all of the departments for your assistance in this process. It was not an easy task to maintain the services and tax rate without doing a town-wide reassessment. I have received many questions about our townwide water project. All of our applications for funding have been submitted to Rural Development and we are waiting for their response . We are hopeful to have the project underway by spring. When we are clear on our funding there will be an informational public hearing. Don’t forget Winterfest on Dec. 3rd, get out and support local businesses and enjoy all of the events scheduled around town.
