To all parents and grandparents, I strongly urge you to take the time to teach the children of how this country shaped the world we now live in and the importance of defending not only our freedom but others as well. By teaching and instilling patriotism in our youth is the only solution to all the problems this country is currently facing. Taking responsibility for one’s action and situation we live in. COVID seemed to spur a culture of reliance from the government assistance. It is time for America to follow the examples of the people whom we honor on Memorial Day, Let’s make this day what it was meant to be, a solemn reminder of what the price is for doing the right thing. Not just a day off. On behalf of myself and the Village board and staff as well the whole community, Thank You to all who have served, your efforts are greatly appreciated every day. The sewer board and village board will be having a joint meeting on June 13th at 7:00 pm at the village hall. This is open to the public. On June 18th there will be a celebration of life at Wildwood Park in honor of Tom Spadaro. Tom was instrumental in not only keeping the pool open and bringing it back to its former shape, but putting the pieces into place to make sure it was operational for many years to come.
