Matthew McCulley would get the nod at pitcher striking out 9 also going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a single, 4 rbi’s and 4 runs. Eddie Lathan would come in and finish the game striking out 1 while going 1 for 5 with an RBI and 2 runs. Kylie Wilson went on to score in all 4 plate appearances. Ben Geittner went 2 for 4 driving in a run and scoring 1 also. Nick Porcelli had a day of his own driving the ball deep to left field twice with 2 rbi’s and scoring 1. Andrew Sibley and Isaac Morrison also contributed on offense with 1 RBI each. Defensively Carson Wetsell had great plays at 3rd base. With no Jude Christ, Blake Biracree or Wyatt Whipple, the Yankees were down 3 of their core players. Anthony Warner would pitch for 4 innings striking out 5 batters while going 2 for 3 on the day. The speedy Austyn Silvernail would take over on the hill and strike out 2, also going 3 for 3 with 2 runs. Michael Warner and Luke miller would both go 1 for 3. Ryan “tibz” O’Geen went 1 for 3 scoring a run. Blake Fetzer, Ayden Weiss, Thomas Englerth and Quinton Ianni would all have solid defensive plays on defense. Red Sox 10 Orioles 7 - The Red Sox and Orioles met for the second time this season after the first matchup needed extra innings to decide the contest. The O’s jumped to an early lead scoring three runs in the first inning. Sammy Bogue, Kade Olivani, and Carter McClurg all crossed the plate and the Orioles defense held the Sox scoreless. The Red Sox battled back in the second inning scoring three runs of their own. Jaden Duyssen came up big again hitting a three run single to tie the game. After this pitching and defense took over for the next few innings. Ethan Rose and Colton Halladay combined for the win striking out seven. Dalton Luke had a strong defensive game at second base and the Red Sox managed to turn two double plays in crucial moments. Sammy Bogue, Carter McClurg, and Jacob Keller pitched well striking out ten batters. The Red Sox would draw two walks to start the fifth inning. Colton Halladay would come to the plate and belted a three run homerun over the left field fence. After 5 innings the Red Sox led 7-4. In the sixth inning, the Red Sox scored three insurance runs. The O’s looked to the top of their lineup for a rally. The Orioles did draw closer scoring three but fell short with the Red Sox winning 10-7. Twins 9 Tigers 2 - The twins would find their groove again with a victory over the tigers. Peyton Privitera would get things going on the mound as he had an 85 pitch complete game tallying up 11 strikeouts. Eddie Lathan continued his hot streak going 2 for 4 with 2 rbi’s and 2 runs. Matthew McCulley would reach base twice while holding down first base like a pro. Andrew Sibley reached first base on a single and would later score. Nick Porcelli would also find home after a nice single as well. Brody Wilson also legged out a single with his first little league hit. Carson Wetsell, Ben Geittner and Isaac Morrison went on to play solid defense in the outting. The talk of the town would be 12 year old slugger Kylie Wilson. In the first inning on the 3rd pitch, Kylie sent a ball over 200 feet deep to center field for seasons first over the wall HOME RUN! For the Tigers, ace Drew Beachel would have a day as he struck out 8 batters and go on to hit for a triple and an inside the park home run of his own. Ryker Vangalio would go 1 for 3 on the day with a single and run scored. Missing their star catcher, Carter Page, Ryan Crissy would fill in his shoes and the speedster wouldn’t make it easy for the twins to score. Reece Pryzbyl, Ryder Stiles, Dalton Luke, Logan Kanaley, Joe Wujcik and Thomas Englerth would all play really solid defense.
