Unfortunately, in the project many mature trees had to be removed to allow for storm drainage and curbing that did not exist on the old street. When the project is complete, we will do our best to plant new trees, but they will never be able to replace the canopy of the old trees. July 2nd will be Sharon Jeary’s official retirement day. She will be staying on to help incoming Clerk Treasurer, Eileen Carmel with the transition. Katie Eick will be taking Eileen’s position as Deputy Clerk Treasurer. The board and I as well as anyone who has ever served on the village board, would like to express our deepest gratitude to the lady who kept this Village running for over 3 decades. She will be sadly missed. We all wish her and her family, health, happiness and joy in her upcoming retirement. Linda Horgan will also be living us. She has been part time clerical for a couple of years. She will also be sadly missed. The Little league regular season has come to and end, and the playoffs are beginning. The Home run hitters this season were: Evan Rose (2) Carter Page, Brady McClurg, Dom Miller, T.J. Chrissy, and inside the park homers by Austyn Silvernail and the Mayor’s favorite player Kylie Wilson. Thanks to Sweet Betty’s for their help with the home run tradition. Please be careful driving this summer, we have much more activity on the streets with children being out and about. Thank You for your anticipated caution. “It’s time to land the plane” Sharon Jeary (ending from her retirement letter) Mayor's Corner
