President Mary Margaret Ripley brought the meeting to order with the Pledge. Merritt Holly, LeRoy Jr./ Sr. High Superintendent, introduced guest Brian Foeller, Business Administrator. P r e s i d e n t M a r y Margaret asked for announcements from the club. Jim Ellison offered a brief review of Every Rotary Every Year the club’s annual fund. Scott McCumiskey announced that the tickets for the 32nd Annual Appliance Raffle will be available soon. The event will be held virtually on December 6, 2020. The goal is to sell 1000 tickets. An announcement was made to the club members that its new semi-permanent lunch meeting spot would be the LeRoy Country Club. This is in lieu of the Greens during the COVID-19 restrictions. It was also noted that depending on any further restrictions the club may have to move back to virtual if need be. However, virtual meetings will continue to be an option for all members. Missed meetings were recognized by President Mary Margaret: GerryAron, Bob Bennett, Merritt Holly, Phil Plossl, Sam Vagg, and Mary Young all had missed meetings to account for. Some offered make-ups while others paid the missed meeting fine. P r e s i d e n t M a r y Margaretmoved on tofining. She asked Gerry Aron about his great-grandson participating in the local flag football program this fall. Bob Carlson was fined for his love for the New York Yankees. He ended up giving up on the game the night prior because he needed to go to bed. Merritt Holly was fined for all the work he continues to do within the LeRoy Central School District. President Mary Margaret fined Merritt for the virtual open house and college admission visits. Phil Plossl was fined for a family wedding. Phil struggled with the details and stated the weekend was a bit “fuzzy.” Sam Vagg was fined for a prosperous girls brunch at Del Lago. Today’s program was given by the Superintendent of LCSD, Merritt Holly, and Brian Foeller, LCSD Business Administrator. They presented on the two propositions being presented to the community for capital projects. Merritt went through in detail the needs presented and why now. There will be an upcoming informational night via zoom on Wednesday, October 14th at 7:00 pm. The link will be posted on the LCSD website one hour prior to the meeting. The vote for the Capital Project Referendum will be Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Wolcott St. School Trigon Gymnasium Corridor.
