Over the course of time health care has soared, employee wages have gone up, not drastically and your tax dollars have been taken in and reshuffled, from federal, state county, school and town and village. It is my humble opinion that the collaboration between the Village, Town and school may never have been better with each board carefully watching your tax dollar to ensure you get the best bang for your buck. The future in LeRoy is bright, we could use residential growth to maintain or edge over other small villages. LeRoy has become a very desirable place to live and current property values reinforce this trend. The state seams to want to pass on taxes to the counties and down the chain, it is our plan to work together to keep this momentum going. I would like to extend on behalf of the village board and myself congratulation to Town Supervisor Steve Barbeau on his retirement from that post. Over the course of his 8 years Steve guided the town through some very tricky waters, remember he started this when the news trucks were in front of the town hall. With great dignity and poise Steve handled all the issues that came his way. As Mayor, it was a pleasure to have been in office at the same time as him. It wasn’t always perfect but it was always open forum to discuss the betterment of LeRoy as a whole, two guys the same age who have always lived here, and always love to call this home. THANK YOU for your service. Steve leaves a great board who will do a great job with Dave Paddock, John Armitage, Bruno DeFazio and new comer John Johnson. Best of luck to new supervisor Jim Farnholtz. Happy New year and let's have great decade. “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” Winston Churchill SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ADVERTISERS!
