Bill shared the story of how he came to LeRoy. It is a little-known fact that my old buddy Wayne Wood actually is responsible for peaking Bill’s interest in the property. We are extremely fortunate to have had Bill come into our community not only to bring this cornerstone of Main Street back to an amazing and beautiful structure, but his investment in LeRoy property and his visions. Thank you to Bill and his family for choosing LeRoy and all the hard work and dedication. The recent snow has again beat the DPW’s efforts to pick up all the leaves, they will continue to try to get these off the curbs, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience. The DPW had a tough time with this storm and wasn’t able to meet the expectation that they have met in the past. The total DPW staff is 6 people, we were down 3 bodies for different reasons. We are taking measures to try to keep that from happening again. Just a quick side note, it is the property owner’s responsibility to clear the sidewalks. The Village clears the sidewalks as a courtesy and will continue to do so. It also appears that Mill Street will be open around the first of December. December 7th the Annual Winterfest will be held, please try to come out and participate. At Thanksgiving, I like to give thanks to all the people who run this village and keep us safe throughout the year. My department heads Chris Hayward, Bob Lathan, and Steve Carroll manage a group of dedicated people who quietly serve you everyday and mainly go unnoticed until something bad happens. We are very blessed to have the staff and personnel we have. The Board and I could not run things like they are without them. The glue that keeps everything together is Sharon Jeary our Clerk- Treasurer, you can ask any past Mayor she makes the whole thing go. Thanks to all of them and Thanks to you for putting your trust in us, it is not a trust we take for granted. Happy Thanksgiving! “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” ~ Mae West
