Charitable Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of grant funding for 2020. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)3 not-for-profit agencies serving the residents of LeRoy. Maximum grants are $5,000. Applications must be submitted online at the Blood Foundation website: www.vicbloodfoundation.com by December 1st, 2019. American Legion Centennial Veterans Day “...the 11th hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month...” The Botts-Fiorito Post #576, American Legion, Auxiliary Unit #576 and Sons of the LegIon, Squadron #576 will be acknowledging the American Legion’s 100 years of service celebration on Monday, November 11th, 2019. The program will include the traditIonal ceremonial program at the Monument in Trigon Park, followed by a reception at the Post Home. Personnel will assemble at 1045 hrs. at the Trigon park site, with the program beginning at 1100 AM Sharp! Readings commemorating the significance of the day by Commander John “Chip” Graney and President of the Auxiliary, Marlene McCumiskey will highlight the ceremony. This will be followed by placement of the wreath on the monument and a volley from the Post firing Squad, concluding with the playing of “Taps”. Immediately following the outside program, all are invited back to the Post Home, 53 West Main Street for a light luncheon and 100th Anniversary Birthday cake.
