Soon you will be receiving information about the 2020 census, please make sure you fill out the paperwork accurately. One of the frequently asked question is for snow birds. Where do I say home is, well it is where you consider home. This is important information because this determines how tax dollars are shared in the U.S. over the next 10 years. Also, the number of congressional seats and Electoral College votes each state receives is determined by the census numbers. Last Friday we had an unfortunate incident that forced school to be closed. Superintendent Merritt Holly had nothing but the highest praise for our Police Departments professionalism, and mentioned how lucky we are to have them. The Farmers’Market under the direction of Mary Margaret and Scott Ripley had another successful season. They had 11 vendors, musicians and community groups as well as the reputation as the friendliest market in the area. Thanks to all who worked on this season. A special thanks to Mary Margaret and Scott for their dedication and hard work. For you who don’t know Scott he is the voice of LeRoy Little League and does a great job there too.
