Thanks to all of you, the children had a great summer! The parks projects are almost complete and the courts look great. This was a big commitment but it seems to be worth it. DePaul finished the bocce courts and they got a lot of play. They have started some landscaping at the Mill Street Park that includes planting two large red maples and other plants. On Wednesday, September 18th at 7 pm at Village Hall, 3 West Main St. the Village Board will convene for their meeting. On the agenda will be a public hearing to allow water retention ponds on village property, the purpose is to manage rain water in areas that have water issues, as well as to help future expansion of residential properties. I am writing this article on September 11th, it doesn’t seem like 18 years have gone by. I’m sure we can all recall where we were when we heard of the tragedy.
