Mike Darby's Patch & Paint Mayor's Corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers The Summer recreation books have been handed out in school. The program begins at 1 o’clock on June 26th. Once again, Jackie Whiting has put together a program that will keep our children occupied and interested for the whole summer. If the booklet didn’t make it home more are available at the Town Hall on Main St. The Village Board is going to have a small change in our meetings for the next couple of months. Trustee Bill Kettle has had an unfortunate accident, falling and tearing his patella tendon in his knee. This will keep Bill from physically attending meetings for a while, however, we will be skyping with him, so we can get his valuable insight, questions, and input. We wish Bill a speedy recovery. Chief Hayward has spoken with construction people on Mill St. about the street closure. The street will only be closed during work hours and opened up for nights and weekends. The bocce court construction is a little behind schedule, so the bocce league is going to Bunell Park for a while. Bob Sullivan wanted to play at Hartwood Park where he has home field advantage and quite a winning record, but the league would not hear of it. Sorry for the inconvenience to the players, I am sure it will be worth the wait. “If you learn to appreciate more of what you already have.
