Maria Olmsted, who passed away in 1992 at the age of 95, had a lifelong love of learning. She always lamented the fact that she was never able to attend college herself, and Mrs. Olmsted made certain that her own three children received a higher education. This scholarship will assist a young resident as she/ he pursues a similar dream. Requirements: * Active in and contribute to the community * Are good students * Are graduating seniors at any community high school or home schooled * Proof of acceptance or verification for an accredited four- year college, 2+2 program or 3+1 prgram for the 2019-2020 school year The Maria and Warren Ol- msted Scholarship stresses the idea of excellence and community service. The criteria used to choose the recipient will be based on the person’s “significant contribution to community service”.
