The ambulance service is the hot topic right now for both boards. We are working to come up with some kind of solution to go forward. As I have said before, this issue has no good answer, the situation effects everyone different. We will have a plan soon and keep everybody in the loop. On the State front the Governor’s budget has a lot of things in it that effects everybody and is very controversial at best. My Board will do it’s best to keep our budget stable. We have a project on the table to fix the Tennis Courts and transition one into a basketball court. At Wildwood we doing some resurfacing and putting in pickle ball courts. Things like this are not cheap, probably about $80,000. Our board feels strongly about keeping this community progressive, but we can not out price ourselves, it is truly a fine line that we walk. The board will begin to put together the 2019-2020 budget and have it ready for the April 1st organizational meeting. The Garden Club has again agreed to decorate Main St. with plants and flowers that add to the beauty of our community and leave a lasting impression on those who drive through. Thank You. Our DPW has been kept busy with everything from snow removal to high wind storms that downed tree limbs. Our Police Department responded to a fatal car crash on Clay St. and a great job was done by Officer Cappotelli on his quick assessment of the situation and also a note of appreciation for the job done by the other first responders. Sgt. McNamara also responded to what seemed like a simple person asleep at the wheel only to end up in a physical altercation. A big thank you to Kristian Alexander who was passing by and stopped to help. The sewer plant keeps moving forward on updates, the water main break effected the plants' water cooled pumps, but Andre Carmel was there without even a call to fix the situation. I guess what I’m saying is, we are blessed by a group of great employees to keep this village running smooth.
