The incident, which occurred on 09/10/2018, was reported by the homeowner alleging that unknown person(s) entered the residence during the late night or early morning hours and stole multiple packs of cigarettes while the resident was home sleeping. A follow up investigation allegedly determined that three youths ages 16, 13 and 12 were involved and some of the cigarettes were recovered as evidence. The 16 year old, who was already on a court ordered 24 hour curfew due to unrelated prior criminal conduct, was charged in the LeRoy Town Court with one count each of the C-Felony of Burglary in the 2nd degree and the A-Misdemeanor of Petit Larceny and committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of bail. The 13 and 12 year old youths were petitioned to the Genesee County Youth Court. Police Report TOWN OF STAFFORD The Town of Stafford is accepting applications from residents of the town to fill a vacancy on the Town Zoning Board of Appeals. This person will be responsible to attend monthly meetings and review questions and appeals which arise under the provisions of the Town's Zoning Code, as interpreted and administered by the Town Zoning Enforcement Officer.
