Students should have completed third grade to participate. Cost per class $5 (with the exception of the barn quilt classes which are $10 to cover materials.) July 16 - Baskets: Monday morning, 9:30 am until noon. Once again, join the pop- ular basket class, and make a small splint basket to take home. Learn weaving techniques used by the pioneers to create a round egg basket with a handle. July 16 - Baskets: Monday afternoon, 1 pm until 3:30 Making a square basket is a little different than making a round basket, but the weav- ing technique is similar. Join the afternoon class to make a functional square basket to take home and if you have time, stamp some simple designs on the splint, similar to the Indian baskets in the collection. July 17 - Barn Quilt: Tuesday morning, 9:30 am to noon There are over 100 barn quilts in LeRoy and you can make your own 2 x 2 barn quilt to take home. First you will pick a pattern and then the right colors to create your very own barn quilt. While you are wait- ing for the paint to dry, you can help paint a large barn quilt. Supplies for this class include the plywood and paint. (wear paint clothes) July 17 - Barn Quilt: Tuesday afternoon, 1 pm to 3:30 pm Make you own 2 x 2 barn quilt to take home.
