In the fifth Condidorio would again get a hit to go 3 for 3 on the day, and score the tying run. With the score now 4-4 the Yankees would add the winning run in the bottom half of the fifth after Joey Biletskiy singled and would cross the plate on some ag- gressive base running. Luke Lathan and Xavien Walker also added hits but were left on base. Yankees pitcher Andrew Pocock was able to hold the White Sox scoreless in the 6th. Final score Yankees 5 White Sox 4. Red Sox 15 A’s 9 The Red Sox were able to pick up the win on Saturday against the A’s by a score of 15-9. Both offenses were on display in this high scoring affair. Both teams combined for 21 hits in the game. The Sox started the game with three consecutive singles by Tony Mar- tinez,Joe Stephany and Josh Horner. Martinez would score on Horners’ and they would take a 1-0 lead. The A’s an- swered with a run of their own when tripled and scored on a passed ball. The score after one inning was tied 1-1. The Sox exploded in their half of the second inning, scoring 5 runs on 3 hits. Zander Cole and Jeremiah Shee- han both had singles and scored in the frame. Joey Stephany’s double was the big hit in the inning. Stephany, Horn- er and Wyatt Draper scored the other three runs making it 6-1 heading to the bottom of the second. That’s when the A’s responded with 5 runs of their own. The A’s had three hits in the inning with Zach Tooley’s inside-the-Park HR high- lighting the inning. Kaden Burger(B- B),Jacob Elmore(single) and Kyle Northrup(BB) all scored in the inning. Jackson Fix scored on the Tooley HR. Hayvan Cordes added a single in the in- ning. With each team scoring 5 runs in the frame , the game was still tied. This time it was 6-6. The Red Sox were able to regain the lead in the third. A single by Cole and Stephanys’ 2nd double of the game were key, as Martinez and Steph- any each scored in the frame. Sox 8, A’s 6. The A’s bats kept going in their half of the third. Hits by Jacob Elmore(sin- gle),Tooley(single) and a Jackson Fix double plated both Connor and Jacob Elmore tying the game at 8-8. Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth inning. Cordes(single) had the only hit of the inning for either team. The Sox regained the lead in the fifth when Cole lead off the inning with his third hit of the game. This time he laced a stand-up triple to the right field corner and later scored on a sac fly from Stephany. Sox 9, A’s 8. The A’s came right back in the bottom half of the in- ning. Fix singled and scored tying the game 9-9. The top of the 6th saw the Sox pull away as they scored 6 runs. The inning started with a Draper walk fol- lowed by a Peter Clark triple to left cen- ter. Next D.J. O’geen and Alex Steph- any both reached base via walks. After a couple of outs Martinez extended the inning with a single and set the stage for the big hit of the game. Joey Stephany hit his first over the fence HR of his ca- reer. The 3-run shot over the left field wall gave the Sox a commanding 15-9 lead. The A’s were set down in order in the bottom of the 6 to give the Sox the win. Joe Stephany’s monster game at the plate, 4-4 with 2 doubles, HR and 4 RBIs lead the Sox. Zander Cole was huge as well going 3-4 on the day with a triple. On the mound Stephany pitched the first 1 1/3 inning and struck out 3. Martinez pitched the final 4 2/3 and struck out 5. For the A’s, Fix,Tooley and Jacob Elmore each had two hits at the plate. Shirley pitched the first 2 2/3 innings and struck out 3. Tooley pitched the last 3 1/3 and struck out 7. Tigers 8 Twins 6 The Twins and Tigers finished out the second to last Saturday of the regular season. The Tigers would jump out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Alex Spezzano led off the game with a single followed by a RBI single by Jackson Spezzano and RBI single by Connor Hegeman. Adan weaver would also plate a run on a RBI fielder’s choice. The Tigers would jump out to a 7-0 lead in the 2nd inning scor- ing 4 more. Matt Covert reached after being hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Alex Spezzano walked followed by a 2 RBI double by Connor Hegeman. Lily Uberty followed with a single and Noah Kaczanowski laid down a perfect bunt to load the bases. Lily Uberty scored on the throw to first after a dropped third strike. Tigers 7, Twins 0. The “No Quit” Twins, determined to make it a game would score 5 runs over the next two innings. In the 3rd, Jacob Iten led off with a walk followed by consecutive doubles by Tony Piazza and Aiden Rig- gi that scored 2 runs. Tigers 7, Twins 2. In the fourth, with one out, Adam, “Bu- cha” Woodworth and Jacob Iten would single followed by a 2 RBI double by Tony Piazza. Piazza would come home to make the score 7-5 on Jack Egeling’s two out double. The score would remain 7-5 until the 6th inning. Alex Spezzano led off with a double and reach 3rd base on a passed ball. Spezzano would score on a RBI ground out by his brother, Jackson to make the score 8-5 heading into the bottom of the 6th. Bucha Woodworth would lead off with a single and score on Jacob Iten’s double. A walk by Tony Piazza put the tying run on 1st and winning run at the plate. Next up was Aiden Riggi. With the game on the line, Riggi would blast a shot to center field that looked as if it would tie the game. However Cam Wilson ranged to his right and made a fantastic game saving catch. Connor Hegeman would retire the next two bat- ters, leaving the tying run on base for a final score of Tigers 8, Twins 6. Leading the Tigers on offense was Alex Spezzano who was 3-3 with a walk, double and 3 runs scored. Connor Hegeman was 3-4 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jackson Spezzano added a single and RBI. Lily Uberty sin- gled and scored a run. Josh Noble and Noah Kaczanowski added singles. Matt Covert scored a run. Jackson Spezzano pitched 3 innings while allowing 2 runs and striking out 6. Connor Hegeman pitched the last 3 innings also striking out 6. Offensively for the Twins, Jacob Iten was 3-3 with 3 runs scored, 2 dou- bles and a walk. Adam Woodworth was 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Tony Piazza was 2-3 with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles and a walk. Aiden Riggi added two hits including a double. Jack Egeling added a dou ble and Dylan Maciag a single. Aiden Riggi started on the mound for the Twins and recorded 5 strike outs.
