LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - FEBRUARY 18, 2018 Meet Rich & Mitch Republican Candidates for Village Trustee Richard (Rich) has lived in LeRoy with his wife Mary (Mike) for over fifty years where they raised their five children; Patrick, Robert, Kelly, Jeffrey and Keri. Rich’s professional experience makes him an ideal candidate for the Village Trustee position. He currently works for a Public Utility Company where he has been for over fifty years in various represented and managerial positions. He has experience with large budgets, personnel, building maintenance, new construction and asso- ciated environmental issues. He has an excellent reputation in the company for trouble-shooting and problem-solving with large construction projects. “I decided to seek the position of Village Trustee at this time because I know I can bring all of my experience to the Village with a steady level-head- ed approach for all situations brought to the Village board. I want to continue to see our Village thrive for future generations as it continues to be a great place to live and watch our grandchildren enjoy all that LeRoy offers.” Mitchell (Mitch) Cowen is originally from Ran- dolph, NY, and relocated to Genesee County after accepting a position with the City of Batavia Police Department. Mitch chose to call Le Roy home after finding the village to be reminiscent of his home- town, with its small town charm and historic down- town area. Mitch has served on the board of directors and as treasurer for a non-profit ambulance service in the southern tier. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 10 years in Randolph, and had been honored as EMT of the year. Mitch has always had a strong sense of community and been willing to work with any group to achieve goals, while maintaining an open mind. "I look forward to the opportunity to serve the village of Le Roy residents by working collabora- tively with the current village and town board mem- bers, to continue the positive changes occurring in the community."
