LeRoy Pennysaver & News

LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - JANUARY 14, 2018 • LeRoy Little League is always looking for managers and coaches at all levels of play. Many different volunteer opportunities exist within the organization. We are also looking for umpires to help, and training will be provided. • Age determination date remains the same as 2017. In short, whatever a child’s age is on August 31st, 2018 is considered their “league age.” If your child turns 4 years old by August 31st, 2018, they are able to play instruc- tional baseball. Typically ages for T-shirt are 6-9, however some age overlap is present at multiple levels. Final placement in divisions is subject to Board of Directors review and approval. • More information about the different levels of play is available on our website. • If your child will be 9 years old by August 31st, 2018, they are eligible to try out for Little League. More informa- tion related to tryouts will be available at registration. For players born between May 1st, 2005 and August 31st, 2005: The new age determination date of August 31st will be effective starting with the 2019 Little League Baseball Sea- son. For the 2018 season, these players will use the April 30th age determination date. • If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact either Tim Spezzano (259-7673) or Jeff Strollo (750-4049). • Please see new little league bat rules on your website.
