their continued care though Janet’s

We would also like to thank the staff and nurses at

Wyoming County Home Care and Hospice for the

wonderful assistance in caring for Mom through her

final months. A special thanks to her aides Melanie and

Carol, you both went above and beyond and we will

forever be grateful.

To our family and friends, you have given us all such

support and strength. We could not have made it

through without you all. We love and thank you!

Janet’s children,

and Will Miess.

The meeting was called to order

at the home of Tom McGinn-

is by President Bob Bennett at

5:35pm. Randy Vink made a

motion to approve October’s

minutes, which was seconded

by Jim Nielsen. Motion passed.

Erica Spezzano presented the

Treasurer’s Report (see at-

tached). A motion was made by

Jim Nielsen to approve the re-

port, seconded by Jeff Deragon.

Motion passed.

There was no correspondence.

President Bob Bennett thanked

Tom McGinnis for hosting and

providing a wonderful meal

for the group. Tom thanked his

daughter for decorating, and

some helpers that helped him

pull it together.

At our October meeting it was

decided that we would begin

having our regular membership

meeting every other month, and

our directors would meet on the

off months. At the November

director’s meeting, sub commit-

tees were created. They are as

follows:

Welcome Wagon: Martha Bai-

ley/ Jackie Whiting

Website: Bill Kettle/ John

Whiting/ Jackie Whiting

Events: Martha Bailey

Membership & Viability: Sam

Vagg/ Ben Deragon/ Randy

Vink

John Whiting said his commit-

tee was in the process of setting

up a meeting with the town to

work on updating our current

website. Martha Bailey said she

is looking for anyone that would

like to help her work on coordi-

nating events, or brainstorming

new ideas for events. Sam Vagg

reported on behalf of the Mem-

bership & Viability commit-

tee. The committee is working

on increasing benefits to LBC

members, and increasing mem-

bership. They are also working

on collaboration on promoting

local business within local busi-

nesses. More details to follow.

Bob Bennett encouraged other

members to get involved on a

committee.

Sam Vagg gave a report on Le-

Roy Business Council’s “First

Night Celebration”. Sponsor-

ships continue to come in. She

reminded the group to please

continue to sell tickets. The

drawing for the prizes will

be December 22nd at around

6:30pm at The Smokin’ Eagle.

Please make sure all tickets are

turned in prior to then. The fire-

works are all set, and it will be

a beautiful show on December

31st at 9pm on the Creekbank.

Donna Grambach from the

Women of the Moose came to

report on Winterfest. She said

after a slow start, the event was a

huge success. During the event,

the Moose raised $362.00 for

the Food Pantry, and $250.00

for the Backpack Program. She

said the committee has many

ideas how to grow the event

next year, and thanked LeRoy

Business Council for their sup-

port.

Shelley Stein reported on the

County. Shelley reported that

there will be an increase in

County taxes this year. This is

due to a 14% increase in Health-

care costs, and increases in con-

tracts. The Nursing Home sale

is pending. When the county

receives the funds from the sale,

6.2 million will go to operating

borrowings, and the rest will go

towards capital improvements

on roads & bridges. Shelley

also reported that there is ap-

proximately $7500.00 left in

the America’s Best Commu-

nity fund. The committee has

decided to allocate the funds to

help students in LeRoy & By-

ron- Bergen receive job skills

training through the Business

Education Alliance. Shelley

also reported the negation of

sales tax between the county

and municipalities is ongoing.

The county is also is phase 2 of

providing public water to mu-

nicipalities on the east side of

the county.

Our next Board of Directors

meeting will be January 9th, due

to the holiday, at the Moose at

5:30pm. The next membership

meeting will be February 6th, at

5:30pm, at location TBD.

There was a motion by Jim Niel-

sen to adjourn, seconded by Jeff

Deragon. Meeting adjourned at

6:20.
