| OCT. 7, 2002 - Pictured are Dan Shirley, John Lathan and Pully with their 655 lbs. pumpkin. The pumpkin took 4th place at the 20th Annual World Pumpkin Weigh-off at the Collins Pumpkin Festival with entries from the Northeast and Canada. The pumpkin required daily water of up to 400 gallons. Its care and progress was carefully monitored by Dan. There are a dozen pumpkins over 300 lbs. on display and for sale at the farm, located on the corner of Oatka Trail and Parmelee Road. |
