Believe it or not, the annual TANYS Festival is just around the corner! As your registrar for the festival, I have a few re- minders to make your experience easier. Remember being a member of TANYS will save you some money, as will buying a Su- perpass for the weekend. If you have ques- tions, please do not hesitate to contact me. There are four categories – Non-Mem- ber, TANYS Member, Qualified Partici- pant or Student. TANYS Member means that you are a paid individual member of TANYS. If you joined TANYS as a mem- ber during the Festival last year you are still considered a member for this Festival. If you have any questions about your mem- bership status, contact TANYS at info@ tanys.org . A Qualified Participant is an approved participant at the Festival such as Board Members, Adjudicators, Festival Commit- tee members, or actors, crew members, directors, authors or tech crew for par- ticipating theater companies invited to the Festival. Qualified Participants for a par- ticipating company must be listed on the group registration form to get the Qualified Participant rate. As such, we plan to have top notch entertainment for you to enjoy during the opening cer- emony and the banquet. At the open- ing ceremony, you can look forward to a short skit written by RCT’s AJ Parker, based on the theme “TANYS is Forever.” Think James Bond meets James Corden in the Twilight Zone! And plan to come to the banquet dur- ing the cocktail hour. We will feature Jake and Elwood at their very best – the Rome Blues Brothers promise to give you all they got. Rome will be “on a mission from God” (or at least on a mission from TANYS) to have a toe-tappin’ great time! Banquet Entertainment BMI Best Overall Design Alice Black & White Costumes Opening Ceremony Dance New Festival Evaluation 2019 The TANYS Board and Festival commit- tee read all of your written comments on the evaluation form you have in the past turned in before you left Festival. This year, TANYS is trying something new to capture the opinions of our attendees. TANYS has designed an on-line version of the evalua- tion form including the adjudicator evalua- tions so ALL attendees can respond in the car on your way home or in the comfort of your own home. More details will be in the Festival program and in the registration bags given out during Festival. A limited number of written evaluation forms will be provided for those who prefer to answer in that fashion. We hope ALL of you will take the time to send us comments that WILL be read!
